Nelson (spr. nells'n). 1) Fluß in Brit.-Nordamerika, kommt aus dem Winnipegsee, mündet nach 650 km in die Hudsonbai. – 2) Stadt in der engl. Grafsch. Lancaster, am Calder, (1901) 32.816 E.; Baumwollspinnerei. – 3) Stadt auf der Südinsel von Neuseeland, (1901) 7000 E.
