Antevorta, ae, f. (anteverto), eine Göttin (auch Porrima, Ov. fast. 1, 633, u. Prorsa, Varr. bei Gell. 16, 16 extr. gen.), das personifizierte »Vorauswissen der Zukunft«, nach anderen eine Geburtsgöttin, und zwar »die Göttin der Kopfgeburt«, Schwester (Ggstz.) der Postverta (der Göttin der Steißgeburt), beide Schwestern oder Begleiterinnen der Karmenta, Macr. sat. 1, 7. § 20.
