ASCĂLVS, i, Gr. Ἄσκαλος, ου, des Hymenäus Sohn, und Aciams, Königs in Lydien, Heerführer, nahm Syrien ein, und erbauete daselbst die Stadt Askalon. Xanthus Lyd. ap. Stephan. Byzant. in Ἀσκάλων.
