- nitrocellulose paper
Paper with a high nonspecific absorbing power for biological macromolecules. Very important as a receptor in blot-transfer methods. Bands are transferred from a chromatogram or electropherogram either by blotting on nitrocellulose sheets or by electrophoretic transfer. The replica can then be used for sensitive analytical detection methods.
