Messenien, das sich von Norden nach Süden durch Lakonika zieht u. im Vorgebirge Taenarum endigt, jetzt Pentadactylos, auch Monte di Maina, Mela 2, 3, 4 (2. § 41). Cic. de div. 1, 112. Lucan. 5, 52.
